Choppy: oil eases as Monday waits for the Fed
Choppy.
The desk opens Choppy. Oil is giving back part of its war premium after a one-day pause on Iran strikes, but nothing is settled and the Fed decides Wednesday.

Why it feels this way
Friday closed Choppy, with the Dow proxy down about 1.2% and crude up about 4.3%. This morning crude is down about 2.3% premarket after President Trump ruled out a strike on Iran for Sunday and Qatar kept mediating, while stocks are only slightly higher.
- S&P proxy +0.22%, Dow +0.44%, vol −1.71%, crude −2.32% premarket.
- Oil gives back part of its war premium on a one-day strike pause, posts say.
- No major release today; Verizon before the open, Cadence and Nucor after.
What would change the mood
If crude holds its drop and stocks drift up quietly, the day turns Waiting into the Fed.
If a new strike report sends crude back above Friday’s close, vol jumps and the mood turns Spooked.
