The market has a mood. We read it every day.
mrkts is an independent site for active traders: a daily read on the market's mood, briefs before the open and after the close, and honest guides to the brokers and tools traders use.
What we publish
- The mood. One word for how the market feels right now, from calm to bleeding, refreshed through the trading day.
- Briefs. A morning brief before the open and a recap after the close: what moved, what's next, and the numbers that matter.
- The calendar. Economic releases and earnings for the week, in New York time.
- Broker and platform guides. Reviews and comparisons of the brokers, options platforms, and tools active traders use, tested to the standard on our How we review page.
How it's made
The mood and the daily briefs are produced by an automated desk that reads market data and news, with AI-assisted writing. That lets us publish every trading day, on time. Reviews and comparisons are different: they are built on hands-on testing, not generated from a spec sheet.
Independent, and paid by partners
mrkts is not owned by a broker and doesn't take direction from one. We earn money when some readers open an account through our links. That never changes a rating or a ranking; our Disclosures page explains exactly how it works.
Not investment advice
Everything here is for information and education. We don't know your situation, and nothing on mrkts is a recommendation to buy or sell anything. Markets involve risk, including the loss of what you put in.
